Awareness of the past, responsibility for the present and positivity for the future are the three concepts with which Daytona is pleased to inaugurate 2021 and accompany all of you in this new adventure.

As always, also this year the Pantone Colour Institute has developed the Pantone Colour of the Year 2021. In fact, the historical period we are going through is far too complex to be uniquely described by a single colour. There are too many shades, complementary and integrated sensations, and emotions.

Therefore, there could only be two colours for this year! So here they are:
PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating

These are two different components of the same soul, a perfect description of what the year we are about to face represents: an infusion of strength and positivity, a story of colour that contains a deeper sense of attention with the promise of something sunny and lovable. Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow that shines with vibrancy, a warm hue imbued with the power of the sun. Ultimate Gray recalls solid and reliable elements that last over time and offer solid foundations. This shade is discreetly reassuring, promoting feelings of composure, firmness and resilience.

And so, as Leatrice Eiseman – Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute states, “The mix of the never-changing Ultimate Gray and Illuminating vibrant yellow expresses a message of positivity supported by a great strength. Concrete and firm, yet warm and optimistic at the same time, this colour combination gives us a sense of resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and relieved: it is something essential for the human mind.”
